Georgia Income and Retirement Worksheet, Line 3R Does Not Calculate Correctly for Part-Year Residents

Situation

On the Georgia Income and Retirement Worksheet, line 3R does not calculate correctly for part-year residents who have wages, salaries and tips totaling over $4,000. As a result, the ratio calculated on line 12R is also incorrect.


Solution

This situation will be corrected in the Georgia Individual update anticipated to be available online on or about January 23, 2008. Download and install this update when it becomes available. (Go to the Update menu and select Update Installed Products.)

Workaround (prior to update)

On Georgia Income and Retirement Worksheet, manually override the amounts on lines 3R and 12R with the correct amounts.
