ProSeries Frequently Asked Questions

When Viewing Tax Returns in DMS the Font May Be Difficult to Read

Products Affected:

  • Document Management System

Situation
When Viewing Tax Returns in DMS the Font May Be Difficult to Read

Data in tax returns transferred from 2007 ProSeries to Document Management System (DMS) appears in a bold font style that may be difficult to read on the screen when viewed at 100% magnification.

Solution

Our development team is working with our vendor to try to resolve this situation.

Workaround

Portable Document Format (PDF) files can be viewed in other applications, such as the two mentioned below. Both of these applications are available free of charge.

You can download AdobeĀ® Reader from the Adobe Web site.

If you would like to make annotations, you can download PDF-XChange Viewer from the Tracker Software Products Web site.

When you download and install a new external viewer, Windows will automatically make that the default for viewing pdf files. Be sure to set DMS to not use the internal viewer. (From the Tools menu, choose Options, and uncheck the View PDF files within DMS box.)
