Situation
After installing the update that we anticipate will be available the week of January 21, 2008, the changes you made to the default Client Checklist template will be overwritten.
Workaround
To avoid reentering your changes in the customize area of the Client Checklist template, follow the steps below to make a backup copy of the GlobalText.xml file.
Note: If you have not customized the Client Checklist template, do not follow these steps. You will not be impacted by the update.
- In Windows Explorer, navigate to the appropriate ProSeries folder. The default folders are:
- ProSeries Standalone = ProWin07\Common
- ProSeries Network = ProSeries\ProNet07\Common
- In Windows Explorer, make a backup copy of the GlobalText.xml file. We recommend that you name the backup copy GlobalText.bak.
After installing a ProSeries update, if your Customize Client Checklist template is overwritten you can restore your Customize Client Checklist template from the backup copy you made.
- In Windows Explorer, navigate to the appropriate ProSeries folder. The default folders are:
- ProSeries Standalone = ProWin07\Common
- ProSeries Network = ProSeries\ProNet07\Common
- In Windows Explorer, rename the GlobalText.xml file to GlobalText.old.
- Rename your backup copy GlobalText.bak to GlobalText.xml.
