What's changed in the ProSeries system requirements for Tax Year 2009?
Solution
Changes to the Operating System Requirements
- Windows Vista increased to Service Pack 2 for recommended and minimum operating system requirements.
- Windows 7 Professional added to recommended operating system requirements.
- Windows 7 Home Premium and Ultimate added to minimum operating system requirements.
- 64 bit operating systems are now supported.
Changes to the Internet Connection Requirements
- Dial-up Internet connection is no longer supported. High-speed Internet connection is required for both recommended and minimum Internet connection requirements. High-speed Internet connection is used for downloading products and updates. There will be only one CD release.
Note: We cannot guarantee that ProSeries products/solutions will function properly on operating systems, software, and hardware we do not support. ProSeries Technical Support will not be able to help customers solve problems on unsupported environments in Tax Year 2009.
