How do I use the "Download Next Year's Product" feature?

Download Next Year's ProSeries Product
If you are connected to the Internet, you can use the "Download Next Year's ProSeries Product" feature within the 2007 program to easily download and install the first tax year 2008 product:
- Open your 2007 ProSeries program.
- From HomeBase, go to the Help menu and select Download Next Year's ProSeries Product.
- Follow the on-screen instructions.
Note: If you attempt to use this feature before the download is available, a dialog box will inform you that the tax year 2008 product is not available for download at this time... Click OK and try again later after the download is available.
ProSeries/Client Organizer Note: When both the 2007 ProSeries/Client Organizer and the 2007 ProSeries/1040 are installed on your computer, this feature will first download the 2008 ProSeries/Client Organizer. During installation of the download a Tax Year 2008 Product Selections dialog box will appear. Verify the 1040 is checked. At the end of the installation the 2008 ProSeries software will automatically launch for the first time and the Connected Customer Wizard will run. The Connected Customer Wizard will license your products, check for available updates, and download any additional selected products that are currently available. It is important that you complete these processes to download and install both the 2008 ProSeries/Client Organizer and the 2008 ProSeries/1040 products.
Update Menu
After you have installed your first tax year 2008 product, you can easily download and install updates and new products from the Update menu within your 2008 product.
My ProSeries (for products you have already purchased)
If you are unable to use the "Download Next Year's ProSeries Product" feature to download your first tax year 2008 product, you can manually download your products from within My ProSeries.
ProSeries CDs
If you do not wish to download your first tax year 2008 product as soon as it becomes available online, you can wait and install it from your ProSeries CD when it arrives.
