How do I install ProSeries to a User workstation?

To install ProSeries to User workstations, follow these instructions:
  1. Go to the User workstation where you want to install the software, close all open applications and turn off any virus protection utilities.
  2. Find the shared drive where the ProSeries program is installed, then find the ProSeries directory on the shared drive. If the recommended directory was selected during the ProSeries Admin workstation installation, the default directory for ProSeries is \ProSeries\ProNet07.
  3. In this directory, find the \WKSTN directory, open the directory and double-click the setup.exe file.
  4. In the Welcome dialog box, click Next.
  5. In the Computer Name dialog box, enter a name for this User workstation (The default will be the computer name, or the workstation name used in ProSeries last year.) and click Next.
  6. In the Choose Destination Location dialog box, select a local install folder and a network folder. (We recommend using the default locations.) If you are prompted to create the specified folders, click Yes.
  7. Complete the installation by following the on-screen instructions.
  8. Repeat these instructions from each User workstation.

    Note: Turn on any virus protection utilities after completing the installation.
