  • ProSeries Basic Edition CD1 Contains Forms Without the “Do Not File” Watermarks
If you installed the ProSeries Basic Edition software from the ProSeries Basic Edition CD1, the CD version of the software contains some 1040 forms that are not final but do not contain the “Do Not File” watermark on them. You should NOT file tax returns using these forms.

As a convenience to all customers who use the ProSeries Basic Edition product, we shipped updated CDs of the ProSeries Basic product to you at no additional cost. These CDs shipped on January 9, 2009. The updated ProSeries Basic Edition CD has a label that reads “Basic Edition 2008 Release 1 UPDATE”. View KB Article
