  • Schedule SE May Not Be Included with Return When Schedule F is Reporting Qualified Conservation Reserve Payments
Farmers receiving social security retirement or disability benefits are not subject to self-employment tax on the amount of Conservation Reserve Program payments included on Schedule F, line 6b. If the net farm profit on Schedule SE, Self-Employment Tax, line 1a minus the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) payments on line 1b results in net earnings from self-employment being less than $400 the ProSeries program is not generating a Schedule SE with the return. If a return is affected by this situation, it should not be filed electronically. View KB Article
