It’s simple… You can seek answers to your questions 24/7 through one of many options:

• Live Community – Ask a peer a question in the community. Search for questions other customers have asked and find answers.
• Quick Answers – View the most frequently asked support questions, 1-click away.
• Knowledgebase Search – Use our enhanced search with more relevant and current answers than before right at your fingertips.
• Hot Topics and Alerts – Check out the item of the day. If there are any alerts, we’ll show them to you. We’ll also list the most frequently accessed topics in our Knowledgebase search engine for the day.

• CD Ship Dates
  
  • The ProSeries Headstart CD for tax year 2008 is expected to begin shipping the week of November 17, 2008.
  • The ProSeries Basic Edition CD for tax year 2008 is expected to begin shipping the week of December 22, 2008.
    
    
• TIP: Using the Download Next Year's ProSeries Product Feature
  If the 2007 program is installed on your computer and the computer is connected to the Internet, you can use the "Download Next Year's ProSeries Product" feature within the 2007 program to easily download and install the first tax year 2008 product when it becomes available. To use this feature, follow these steps:
  • Open your 2007 ProSeries or ProSeries Basic Edition program.
  • From HomeBase, go to the Help menu and select Download Next Year's ProSeries Product.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions.
  
  If you attempt to use this feature before the download is available, a dialog box will inform you that the tax year 2008 product is not available for download at this time... Click OK and try again later after the download is available.
  
  Important ProSeries/Client Organizer Note: When both the 2007 ProSeries/Client Organizer and ProSeries/1040 products are installed on your computer, the "Download Next Year's ProSeries Product" feature will first download the 2008 ProSeries/Client Organizer. During installation of the download a Tax Year 2008 Product Selections dialog box will appear. Verify the 1040 is checked. Learn more

Amending an Individual Return (Form 1040X)
Form 1040X is included in the ProSeries federal individual software. The software works by bringing the current figures into Form 1040X and "freezing" the figures in Column A of the form. Learn more

Intuit Electronic Filing Center - Business Returns
The Intuit Electronic Filing Center is now processing business returns. You can resume electronically filing business returns for tax years 2006 and 2007. Electronic filing of tax year 2008 business returns will begin in January.

Intuit Electronic Filing Center - Individual Returns
The Intuit Electronic Filing Center will begin accepting electronically filed tax year 2008 individual returns at 9 p.m. (PT) on January 15, 2009.

ProSeries/Bank Products Software

Offering Bank Products
If you wish to offer bank products to your clients for the upcoming 2009 tax season (2008 tax returns), you must first enroll with either Santa Barbara Bank & Trust (SBBT) or Refund Advantage. You can only enroll with one bank.
• SBBT - To enroll with SBBT, login to My ProSeries, click SBBT Enrollment Form and follow the on-screen instructions. It is important that you enroll before the appropriate SBBT Registration Deadline.
• Refund Advantage - To enroll with Refund Advantage, visit the Refund Advantage website, click Sign Up Now and follow the on-screen instructions.
