Taxpayer
Name Not Printing on Checks
The taxpayer and spouse names may not print on bank product
checks when using an older version of ProSeries/1040 or
ProSeries Basic/1040. If you have not already done so, please
download and install the 1040 update that became available
online on January 10, 2008. Learn

Error Message: "Fatal Error Loading Data File Error 524..."
When attempting to open a tax return you may receive the error message: "Fatal Error Loading Data File Error 524..." This error may occur when you imported data from financial software such as Quicken or QuickBooks to Form 8829, Expenses for Business Use of Your Home, lines 17a and 17b.

EF Status May Not Always Update
In some instances, after converting and transmitting a return
the EF status still displays "Return Marked for EF" instead
of "Return Transmitted for EF." This situation can usually
be corrected by opening and saving the return.
Fixed Asset Manager Importing Issues
Fixed Asset Manager v2007.01 is expected to be available
online on or about January 18, 2008. When this update becomes
available, you can download it from My ProSeries.
This update will correct two importing issues. To learn

Georgia Income and Retirement Worksheet, Line 3R Does Not Calculate Correctly for Part-Year Residents
On the Georgia Income and Retirement Worksheet, line 3R
does not calculate correctly for part-year residents who
have wages, salaries and tips totaling over $4,000. As
a result, the ratio calculated on line 12R is also incorrect.

Online Release Date for Tax Year 2007
The next anticipated online release date for tax year
2007 ProSeries/1120, 1120S, 1065, and 1041 will be January
25, 2008. In an effort to provide you with only robust
updates, the release previously scheduled for January
19, 2008, has been canceled due to lack of new forms being
released by the IRS. The January 25, 2008, release will
enable us to capture and deliver the most recent final
forms from the IRS.
Our goal is to provide you with
key updates that benefit your business. Thank you for

Online Release Date for Tax Year 2007
The anticipated online release date for tax year 2007
ProSeries New York Partnership and New York City Partnership
products has been extended due to late forms delivery
from the state. The new anticipated online release date
for both products is now January 25, 2008.
