CRITICAL ALERTS!

Idaho Individual Form 40, Line 22 Incorrectly Displays "NRF" Under Certain Circumstances
Idaho Individual Form 40, line 22 incorrectly displays "NRF" under the following circumstances:

  • Idaho resident has a business net operating loss (NOL) from a non-Idaho business and no Idaho loss amount, OR
  • The federal amount was significantly greater than the Idaho amount and an amount large enough to offset most, if not all of the federal income and yet end up below the threshold for Idaho filing requirement because the federal NOL amount is not being added back to the Idaho gross income amount used in the calculation to determine the filing requirement.
As a workaround, on line 22 override the incorrect amount with the correct amount and delete NRF. Learn more

Ohio Pass-Though Entity Form IT-1140, P.2, Schedule B, Line 1, Sum of All Income Does Not Include All Income Needed and Is Not Reduced by Section 179 Deduction
On Ohio Form IT-1140, p.2, Schedule B, line 1 the sum of all income does not include all income needed and is not reduced by Section 179. When Section 179 is taken on the federal return, it is not correctly reducing the amount of income shown on line 1 of Schedule B. In previous years, users could enter amounts on this line.

This situation will be corrected in the Ohio Pass-Through Entity update anticipated to be available online by March 31, 2008. Until this update is available, override the incorrect amount on line 1. Learn more

Prior to this update other additions to income were calculating correctly.

This situation will be corrected in the South Carolina Individual update anticipated to be available online on or about March 29, 2008. Until this update is available, manually enter the other additions to income. Learn more

On South Carolina Form I-319, Tuition Tax Credit, Spartanburg Community and Spartanburg Methodist colleges are missing from the picklists on the Qualifying Institution First Enrolled Smart Worksheet and Qualifying Institution Now Enrolled Smart Worksheet.

This situation will be corrected in the South Carolina Individual update anticipated to be available online on or about March 29, 2008. Until this update is available, select Spartanburg Technical College from the picklist. The credit will be provided although the name will be incorrect. Learn more
