Form 1040, Late Penalties and Interest Worksheet, Not Correct With Extension

Situation

On Form 1040, Late Penalties and Interest Worksheet, the number of months used in the late filing penalty calculation is not reduced when the check box for Form 4868 is checked and line 1 is after October 15, 2007.

Workaround

Override line 8 and enter the correct number of months, or fraction thereof, that the return was filed late.
