Remember to Complete the E-Filing Process When Electronically Filing Returns

After electronically transmitting returns and extensions, it is important that you complete the e-filing process:
- Check for outstanding acknowledgments. (Go to the E-File or E-File/Bank Products menu, point to Electronic Filing, and select Receive Acknowledgments or Check EF Acknowledgments.)
Note: Please wait 24 to 48 hours after transmitting to check for electronic filing acknowledgments.
- Identify the electronic filing status of returns and extensions. (In HomeBase, select EF Center or EF Clients and view the status in the Status column.)
- If you have already retrieved an acknowledgment but you want to have the acknowledgment sent to you again, or if the status in the HomeBase EF Center or EF Clients does not appear to be updated, you can update the acknowledgment for one or several returns. (Select the client files whose acknowledgments you want to update. Go to the E-File or E-File/Bank Products menu, point to Electronic Filing, and select Update Selected Acknowledgments.)

- E-filing delays encountered on April 17 have been resolved. Based on everything we know, most of our customers that could not e-file on April 17 did get through by April 19. Please click here for our e-file guarantee and latest updates.
