Form 990, Schedule A, Page 3 Does Not Print With Filing Copy

Situation

Schedule A (Form 990 or 990-EZ), page 3, Part IV Reason for Non-Private Foundation Status, does not print with the filing copy of the return when it is part of the return.

Solution

This situation was corrected in the Federal 990 update that became available online on April 12, 2007. Download and install the current update if you have not already done so. (Go to the Update menu and select Update Installed Products.) 

Workaround (prior to Update) 

1. In a Form 990 return, go to the File menu and choose Print Options.
2. Ensure Control Which Forms Print is highlighted on the left and click the + (plus) to expand the 990/990-EZ Forms section. 
3. Scroll down to the entry for Sch. A, 990 p. 3: Part IV. Under Filing Copy, change Never to If required and click OK.
