Arkansas Form AR1000, Line 12 Interest May Be Incorrect

Situation

On Arkansas Form AR1000, Individual Income Tax Return Full Year Resident, interest entered on the federal Schedule B as Box 8 Tax-exempt Interest is not transferred to line 12.

Solution

This situation was corrected in the Arkansas Individual update that became available online on March 13, 2007. Download and install this update if you have not already done so. (Go to the Update menu and select Update Installed Products.)

Workaround (prior to update)

Manually adjust the Arkansas return.
