Federal 1040 Error Reject Code 1105 and Form 2106 Claiming Section 179

Situation

You may receive error reject code (ERC) 1105 when electronically filing a return containing Form 2106, Employee Business Expenses, claiming Section 179 expense deduction.

Solution

This situation is corrected in the Federal 1040 update that became available online on March 5, 2007. Download and install the latest update, if you have not already done so. (Go to the Update menu and select Update Installed Products.)
