California Refund Mailing Address Is Printed Incorrectly on Form 540

Situation

California Form 540, Resident Income Tax Return, line 69 prints the wrong mailing address for refund or no amount due returns. The box number and ZIP code are incorrectly stated as 942849.

The client letter and slip sheets have the correct address of:

Franchise Tax Board
PO Box 942840
Sacramento, CA 94240-0009

Solution

This situation was corrected in the California Individual update that became available online on February 27, 2007.

Download and install this update, if you have not already done so. (Go to the Update menu and select Update Installed Products.)
