Minnesota Property Tax Refund Returns

New for 2006 ProSeries, Form M1PR, Minnesota Property Refund, is a separate return from the other Minnesota state forms and needs to be filed as an additional return.

The Minnesota Property Tax Refund forms became available online on February 6, 2007.

To download and install the Form M1PR return

  1. In ProSeries, go to the Update menu and choose Select and Download New Products.
  2. Ensure the box for the M1PR or Minnesota Property Tax Refund is checked and click Next. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the product.

To complete the Form M1PR return

  1. Complete the federal return.
  2. In ProSeries and ProSeries Express, go to the File menu and select Go State/City.
    In ProSeries Basic, click the State button on the left and then click the Choose State tab at the top.
  3. Select Minnesota Property Tax Refund and complete the return.

To print or electronically file the Form M1PR return

This return is printed or electronically filed like any other state return. It will be listed as Minnesota M1PR or MN M1PR in the print screens, select a state to file electronically on the Federal Information Worksheet, and in the EF Center or EF Clients tab.

Note: Remember to prepare the regular Minnesota state return, if required.
