Situation

Partnership Form 8879-PE, IRS e-file Signature Authorization for Form 1065, line 5, Other net rental income (loss), may transfer an incorrect amount from Schedule K.

Solution

This situation will be corrected in the Federal 1065 update anticipated to be available online on or about February 26, 2007. View anticipated release dates.

Workaround (prior to update)

Override line 5 and enter the correct amount from Schedule K, line 3c. Then print Form 8879-PE for signature.
