PDF File Prints to Tax Forms Printer Instead of Saving

Situation

When you attempt to save a tax return as a portable document format (PDF) file, a copy of the return prints to the Tax Forms printer instead of saving as a PDF File.

This situation occurs when the PDF driver is not installed properly.

Workaround

Reinstall the PDF printer driver:

1. Close ProSeries or ProSeries Express.
2. Navigate to C:\Prowin06\32bit\PDFDrvr or C:\Expwin06\32bit\PDFDrvr.
3. Double-click Install.exe (or Install). The Amyuni Document Converter window will open.
4. After the line Launch 'Install -u' to uninstall is displayed, click OK to close the window.
5. Double-click PSInstall.exe (or PSInstall). A DOS window will open displaying some information. The last line is "Waiting for Install.exe to finish." This window will automatically close when the installation is finished.
