Federal Form 990 Electronic Filing Mandate

Mandate

Certain tax-exempt organizations with total assets of $10 million or more ($100 million in 2005) and filing at least 250 returns (including income tax, excise tax, employment tax, and information returns) during a calendar year are required to electronically file their 2006 annual exempt organization tax year returns due in 2007.

ProSeries currently does not support electronic filing of federal Form 990 returns, however Lacerte tax software does.

If you require e-file support for federal Form 990 returns, please contact your ProSeries representative at 800-669-7953 to see if Intuit's Lacerte tax software will meet your needs.

Note: ProSeries plans to offer electronic filing of federal Form 990 returns for tax year 2007.
