Congress passed H.R. 6111, the Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006. President Bush signed the bill into law on December 20, 2006. As a result, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) had temporarily removed Form 4136, Credit for Federal Tax Paid on Fuels, from www.irs.gov so it could be revised to reflect changes required by the Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006.
