Tip: Improving Misread Information

If the scanning software appears to be misreading or not reading information
correctly, you may find the following tips helpful:
- Optical Character Recognition (OCR) scanners best recognize
dark-colored text on a contrasting background.
- OCR scanners do not recognize white text and may not recognize
light colored text on a light background.
- Most scanners work best when the latest driver is installed.
Download and install the latest driver for your scanner, if you have not
already done so. Most scanner manufactures post the latest drivers on their
Web sites.
- In ProSeries Source Doc Auto-Entry (SDAE) rerun the scanner
wizard and perform all tests when prompted.
If you are unable to resolve this issue, please contact ProSeries Technical
Support for assistance:
- Call ProSeries at 1-800-434-6818.
- Enter your ten digit business phone number and press #.
- Enter your ProSeries account number.
- Choose options 5 and 2 for SDAE support.
