ProSeries Frequently Asked Questions
Forms Availability Feature
Products Affected: |
|
- ProSeries Tax Products
- ProSeries Basic Edition Tax Products
The Forms Availability feature informs you when a form is not final and provides the anticipated date the form is expected to be final.
When you are working on a federal or state return, if you open a form that is not final:
- The Form Status bar will appear across the top of the form on the screen. The Form Status bar informs you that the form isn't final yet and indicates the date we expect the final version of the form will be available for download via the Internet.
- If you want to see status information about the forms you're currently using, including the dates that the final version of all the forms are expected to be available for download, click the "Current Status of All Forms" link on the right side of the Form Status bar. Your browser will open to a Release Dates page on ProSeries.com.
When you download and install your product updates, you will be notified of updated forms.
Note: In some circumstances, a form can be final for some clients but non-final for other clients. In the Forms Status bar, a partially final form may display as "This form is NOT FINAL" with no final date. In this situation, downloading and installing product updates will not update the date until the form is completely final.
