Error Message: "ProSeries QuickBooks Event COM EXE has Stopped Working"

Situation

You may receive the error message: "ProSeries QuickBooks Event COM EXE has Stopped Working" when attempting to install ProSeries software on a computer running the Microsoft's Windows Vista operating system.

Workaround

When this error message appears, click Cancel and ProSeries will continue through the installation process.

Notes

• ProSeries will not work with all Windows user rights and security settings.
• Not all QuickBooks or ProSeries features will be available.
