How do I create and file a Minnesota return that requires Schedule M1NC?

Products Affected:

• ProSeries Express/Minnesota Individual
• ProSeries Basic/Minnesota Individual

Minnesota Schedule M1NC, Federal Adjustments, is for Minnesota taxpayers who were affected by tax provisions in 2006 under the Heroes Earned Retirement Opportunities Act of 2006, the Pension Protection Act of 2006, or the Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006.

To complete Schedule M1NC:

1. Complete the federal and Minnesota return.
2. Download Schedule M1NC and instructions from the Minnesota Department of Revenue Web site.
3. Follow the instructions to complete the paper Schedule M1NC.
4. In ProSeries, override to make any necessary adjustments to the Minnesota return.
5. Mail the required forms and schedules to Minnesota.

Note: You will not be able to electronically file a return that requires Schedule M1NC.
