ProSeries Frequently Asked Questions

Federal 1120, 1120S, and 1065 Returns With IRS Reject Code R0000-905

Products Affected:

• ProSeries/1120, 1120S, and 1065
• ProSeries Express/1120, 1120S, and 1065

The IRS electronic filing reject code R0000-905 may be received when the Electronic Filing Identification Number (EFIN) used to transmit that return is not registered to transmit that type of return.

Form 8633, Application to Participate in the IRS e-file Program, must identify all types of returns you will submit electronically. You will need to update your application to electronically file federal corporation, S corporation, or partnership returns if your original application did not specify these types of returns.

To update your application, go to the IRS e-Services and follow the on-screen instruction. You may also call the IRS e-File Helpdesk at 1-866-255-0654 for assistance.
