Situation
This Santa Barbara Bank & Trust (SBBT) reject code indicates that the
Service Bureau EFINs in the Bank Product Application do not match the information
in the Bank Product Registration in SBBT's database. This can occur if:
- The original information is entered inaccurately.
- The bank registration is not transmitted prior to submitting
an Advance, RT, or RAL.
- The EFIN attached to the bank product is changed and does
not match the EFIN included in the previously transmitted bank registration.
Solution
To correct this reject code:
- Verify the service bureau model for bank products is appropriate
for your practice.
You are part of a service bureau for bank products if you charge
a fee to another preparer for bank products or you are being charged a fee
by another preparer for bank products.
- Verify the entries in the Service Bureau Information
are correct.
- From the Tools menu, select Options.
- On the left select Service Bureau Information.
- If you are not part of a service bureau, delete any entries
for Master EFIN, Master EFIN fee, and Intermediate Service
Provider EFIN/SBIN and uncheck the boxes in the table.
- If you are part of a service bureau and have the master
EFIN registered to you, enter the Master EFIN and Master EFIN
fee. Check the box for Master EFIN by the line in the table
for each ERO that will be splitting fees with the owner of the master
EFIN.
- Transmit the Bank Products Registration Information.
- In HomeBase, go to the Bank Product Client tab.
- From the E-File/Bank Products menu, select Transmit
Registration Information.
- Open and Save returns with bank products that need to be
transmitted.
- Transmit advances or bank product returns.
