How do I change the bank account information that I registered with SBBT?

To change the information you already registered with Santa Barbara Bank & Trust (SBBT):

  1. From HomeBase, change the HomeBase View to Bank Products or click the Bank Product Clients tab.
  2. Go to the Tools menu and select Options.
  3. On the left select Bank Products and click the Registration Information button on the right.
  4. Make your changes in the Bank Products Registration Information.
  5. Click OK to save the changes.
  6. Click OK to leave the Options window.
  7. Go to the HomeBase Bank Products view or the Bank Products Clients tab.
  8. In ProSeries and ProSeries Basic, go to the E-File menu, point to Bank Products and select Transmit Registration Information.
    In ProSeries Express, go to the E-File/Bank Products menu, point to Bank Products and select Transmit Registration Information.

Important Note: If you are changing the bank account information you already registered with Santa Barbara Bank & Trust (SBBT), the change WILL NOT be processed until you also contact the bank and complete the necessary paperwork required to authorize a change of bank information.

  1. Call SBBT Customer Service at (800) 779-7228, identify yourself as a ProSeries customer, and request a SBBT account change request form (if changing bank account information).
  2. Fax or mail the required paperwork back to SBBT. (Completed SBBT account change request form, a copy of your IRS approval letter, a copy of a picture ID, and a copy of a voided check with the correct RTN/DAN.)
  3. After receiving and verifying the required paperwork, SBBT will update the bank account information in their records.
    Note: You WILL NOT be able to convert and transmit any returns containing SBBT Bank Products until you receive a authorization back from SBBT indicating that your registration is complete.
  4. Go to the HomeBase Bank Products view or the Bank Products Clients tab.
  5. In ProSeries and ProSeries Basic, go to the E-File menu and select Check EF & Bank Product Acknowledgments.
    In ProSeries Express, go to the E-File/Bank Products menu and select Check EF & BP Acknowledgments.
  6. Once you receive the authorization that Bank Products registration is complete you will be able to resume converting and transmitting returns containing SBBT Bank Products.
