If your computer system does not meet the minimum system requirements you may experience some of the following problems.

If your computer doesn't meet the minimum operating system requirement,
the ProSeries software may not install. If the ProSeries software does
install, your computer may experience system errors and program crashes. If your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements for speed and memory you may experience poor performance. |

Hard Disk Space |

| Impact |
| If your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements for hard drive space you may experience poor performance or the inability to install products or save client files. |
| Monitor Resolution |

| Impact |
| If your monitor doesn't meet the minimum requirements for screen resolution you may have difficulty closing windows, accessing the toolbar buttons, and using all of the features in ProSeries. |
| Printers |

| Impact |
| If your printer doesn't meet the minimum requirements you may not be able to print properly or save client files. Your computer may automatically restart when you try to print. Your computer may also experience Invalid Page Faults (IPFs) and program crashes. |
| CD-ROM Drives and Modems |

| Impact |
| A slow CD-ROM drive will reduce your ability to install ProSeries software from CD. A slow modem will reduce your ability to license ProSeries products online, download products and updates, and transmit returns for electronic filing. |
| Internet Browser |

| Impact |
| The Internet connection features in ProSeries for Tax Year 2006 require some of the tools included in Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) version 5.5 or later. An appropriate version of IE will be installed automatically during the ProSeries installation process unless you already have IE 5.5 or later installed. IE 6 can also be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site. If you prefer to use a different browser, such as Mozilla Firefox or America Online for Internet browsing unrelated to using ProSeries, you may continue to do so. |
