How do I download and install ProSeries Source Doc Auto-Entry (SDAE)?

ProSeries Source Doc Auto-Entry (v2006.00) became available online on January 23, 2007. After you have purchased ProSeries Source Doc Auto-Entry (SDAE), follow these steps to download and install ProSeries SDAE from within ProSeries/1040 or ProSeries Express/1040:

  1. License any new products that you have purchased since the last time you licensed:
    1. Open ProSeries/1040 or ProSeries Express/1040, go to the Tools menu and choose License Products.
    2. In the dialog box, check the Online box, if it is not already checked, and click OK.
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  2. Download and install the ProSeries/1040 or ProSeries Express/1040 update that became available online on January 23, 2007, if you have not already done so:
    1. In ProSeries/1040 or ProSeries Express/1040, go to the Update menu and choose Update Installed Products. ProSeries will connect to an Intuit Internet server and check for any additional updates. If updates are found, ProSeries will begin the download process.
    2. The Update dialog box shows the status of your download. When this dialog box displays the message Ready to Install, click Install Now.
    3. If you see the ProSeries Installation note dialog box, click OK.
    4. When the download process is complete, the Update dialog box will show the status of your requested products. Click Details to review the new product and update details or click Close to complete the install. ProSeries will restart.
  3. In ProSeries or ProSeries Express Edition, go to the Import menu and select Source Doc Auto-Entry to automatically download and install the program on your computer. Follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Before you begin using the program, we strongly encourage you to watch the How to Get Started Using ProSeries Source Doc Auto-Entry video. This 10-minute video includes all of the critical information you need to know to quickly get up and running.
  5. When the video is finished, click X in upper right corner to close the window.
