Release Dates
If the computer where ProSeries is installed can connect to the Internet, you can easily download available tax products and updates from within your ProSeries tax program. (Go to the Update menu in ProSeries and select Update Installed Products.)
If you are unable to use the auto-download feature from within your ProSeries tax program, login to My ProSeries to get available manual downloads for products (except fiscal year states) you have ordered. To get available manual downloads for fiscal year states, go to the Fiscal Year States (NJ Corp, NJ S Corp, OH Corp, and TX Corp) Download Page.
Tax Year 2008 CD Ship Dates
- ProSeries Headstart CD shipped on November 20, 2008.
- ProSeries Basic Edition Initial CD shipped on December
31, 2008
Important Notice: If you installed ProSeries Basic Edition from the initial CD shipped on December 31, 2008, this CD contained some State forms with calculations that had not been updated. To resolve this situation you should download the latest updates of the ProSeries Basic product. To download and install the updates, go to the Update menu in ProSeries Basic and select Update Installed Products. Tax Year 2008 Releases Currently Available Online
To view currently available online release dates for Tax Year 2008 ProSeries products, click the appropriate link below. These online releases can be accessed through the ProSeries Update menu.

- Federal 1120 and Corporation States
- Federal 1120S and S Corporation States
- Federal 1065 and Partnership States
- Federal 1041 and Trust States
- Federal 706, 709, and 990
- Bundles and Productivity Products
Note: Versions of 2008 ProSeries/1040 and ProSeries Basic/1040 may be released on different dates, therefore they are listed separately. Versions of ProSeries and ProSeries Basic Individual states will release on the same dates.
